Giving Back and Serving Educators
As director of Literacy, K-8 for 22 years, Anna is very knowledgeable in assessing the needs of not only the district, but also the schools in the district, resulting in a plan to make transformational change in the teaching and learning of Literacy. Anna’s expertise goes above and beyond just teaching literacy:
- assisting teachers in creating or revising their Literacy Curriculum maps
- implementing a comprehensive Literacy program for a district/school
- establishing a writing curriculum that compliments the reading instruction
Anna has spent the past four years as a Literacy coach for numerous schools in southern Indiana, Chicago, St. Louis and in southern Texas, K-8th grade. As a certified Literacy Collaborative coach/leader, along with her training and certification in Reading Recovery and Orton Gillingham, Anna’s forte is collaborating with district/school administration and teachers to set up a plan for modeling, observing, and fine-tuning Literacy instruction in the classroom with the goal for student progression!
Writing
Anna has been a Director of Grants Management for over 22 years; not only writing all Federal and State grants but also writing and obtaining many competitive grants for her school districts and universities. Anna LOVES grants, which makes her a perfect partner to write and manage grants as a contracted service.
