Teacher Support Programs

A collaboration with DR. Angelia Ridgway

During an overlapping 15-year time at UIndy, Angie and Anna have worked together to prepare future teachers to enact literacy strategies, promote student thinking and create well-managed and engaging classrooms. As both a program Director and student teaching supervisor, this team personally guided individual teachers to grow in their reflection, instructional practices, and intentionality as they worked with diverse learners.

POSSIBLE PROGRAMMING FOR TEACHER RETENTION AND IMPROVEMENT AT BOTH THE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP LEVEL!

We provide customized teacher induction and retention programming for teachers to navigate effective ways in teaching and learning in your district. Through careful planning with the district/school, we will supply your teacher(s) with best practices in classroom management, literacy strategies and embedded technology for better student engagement as well as provide formative assessment practices to improve and deepen student comprehension.

What to Expect

Meet with district or school adminstration

Did you know?

The average cost for a district to hire new teachers is over $20,000 from start to the teacher’s first day in the classroom, and that is on top of the teacher’s salary cost!

We will work with you to create a plan for not only new teachers but current teacher to support and help build teacher retention in YOUR district. Our goal is to help keep your teachers in your district.

We meet with your teachers

Anna and/or Dr. Ridgway will meet one-on-one or in group settings with your teachers to support new and current teachers in their career. Our regular meetings, based upon your district plan, will give a stronger support system to keep your teachers in your district.

We continue communication throughout our collaboration!

Collaborative communication is the KEY! You won’t be abandoned after your district plan is finished! We will keep in touch with you on a monthly basis to ensure that your teachers continue to feel supported. If we need to create a new plan for other teachers, we will be ready to go!
